Tretinoin, Generic Retin-A Online
TRETINOIN DRUG INFORMATION, ABOUT TRETINOINGENERIC RETIN-A®WHAT IS TRETINOIN?Tretinoin is a prescription acne medication. It unclogs pores and promotes peeling of affected skin areas. Tretinoin controls but does not cure acne. Tretinoin is sometimes prescribed for other uses. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information. HOW TO USE TRETINOIN![]() Tretinoin comes in topical cream, liquid, or gel. It is usually used daily at bedtime or once every 2 or 3 days. Read and follow the directions on your prescription label carefully. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use tretinoin exactly as directed. Do not use it more often or use more or less of it than prescribed by your doctor. NOTE: Your acne probably will get worse (red, scaling skin and an increase in acne sores) during the first 7-10 days that you use tretinoin. Continue to use it. The acne sores should disappear. It usually takes 2-3 weeks (and sometimes more than 6 weeks) of regular use of tretinoin before improvement is seen. Only use nonmedicated cosmetics on your cleansed skin. Avoid the use of topical preparations with a lot of alcohol, spices, menthol, or lime (e.g., astringents, shaving lotions, and perfumes). They can sting your skin, especially when you first begin using tretinoin. Do not use any other topical medications, especially salicylic acid (wart remover), benzoyl peroxide, and dandruff shampoos containing resorcinol or sulfur unless your doctor directs you to do so. If you have used any of these medications recently, ask your doctor if you should wait before using starting tretinoin. Any form of tretinoin is applied using these steps:
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONSBefore you use tretinoin,
TRETINOIN and PREGNANCYTell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. If you become pregnant while using tretinoin, call your doctor. TRETINOIN and BREAST FEEDING

If you use tretinoin every 2-3 days and remember the missed dose within 12 hours of the time you should have applied it, then apply the missed dose immediately. Otherwise, skip the dose you missed. Do not apply a double dose. TRETINOIN SIDE EFFECTSTretinoin side effects are not common, but they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms become severe or will not go away:
OTHER INFORMATIONTretinoin is to be used externally only. Avoid getting tretinoin in your eyes, the corner of your nose or mouth, or any broken skin. Do not swallow it. Do not apply bandages, dressings, lotions, cosmetics, or other skin medications to the area being treated unless your doctor instructs you. Do not let anyone else use your tretinoin medication. Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about refills of your prescription. Tell your doctor if your skin condition gets worse or does not improve. STORAGEKeep tretinoin in its original container, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature, avoiding excessive heat and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom.
