MEBENDAZOLE DRUG INFORMATION
Mebendazole (generic Vermox®) kills parasites. It is used to treat pinworm, roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and other worm infections.

HOW TO USE
Mebendazole comes as a chewable tablet. Usually, the dose is twice a day, in the morning and evening, for 3 days. It also comes as a single (one-time) dose.

Your treatment may need to repeat in 2-3 weeks.

Before taking mebendazole tell your doctor:

Tell your phyaician if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant . If you become pregnant while taking mebendazole, call your doctor.
MEBENDAZOLE and BREAST FEEDING
Tell your doctor if you are breast feeding.
If you miss a mebendazole does, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. But if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for one that was missed.
MEBENDAZOLE SIDE EFFECTS
Mebendazole side effects are un common, but they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms become severe or will not go away:
Keep mebendazole its original container, tightly closed, out of reach of children. Store at room temperature, away from excessive heat and moisture,not in the bathroom. Discard medicine that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of mebendazole.
In case of a mebendazole overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim is not breathing or has collapsed, call the local emergency services at 911.
Keep all your appointments with your physician and the laboratory. Your physician will order lab tests to check your response to mebendazole.
Do not let anyone else take your mebendazole medication.
Your prescription will probably not be refillable. If you continue to have symptoms of infection after you finish the mebendazole, contact your doctor.
