Before taking Wellbutrin (bupropion) tell your doctor about any prescription and nonprescription medications you may use especially

• adrenaline-like stimulants (e.g., ephedrine)
• corticosteroids (e.g. prednisone)
• levodopa
• products containing nicotine (e.g., patches or gum)
• MAO inhibitors (e.g., isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, pargyline, selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone)
• ritonavir

Also tell your doctor about the use of drugs which might increase seizure risk (decrease seizure threshold) such as

• isoniazid (INH)

Excess caffeine intake can increase the chance of seizures while using Wellbutrin. Check all prescription and nonprescriptiondrug labels for caffeine.

A certain product which is used to help quit smoking contains bupropion. Do not take that product while using Wellbutrin.
