  • certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine)
  • muscle relaxants

  • psychiatric medicine (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine)
  • sleep aids

Prozac may affect the amount of sugar in your blood. If you take any medication for diabetes (e.g., glipizide, metformin, glyburideyour), your dosage of these medications may need to be adjusted when Prozac is started or stopped.

Symptoms of an overdose may include:

Your doctor may order laboratory or other medical tests to monitor your progress.


If you miss a Prozac dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is near the time of the next dose, skip the dose that was missed. Resume your usual schedule. Do not take a double dose.
